Common Loon Original Painting (on display at EARP Distilling Co.)

A$1,800.00

This 59×76.4 cm original watercolour painting of a loon was created for a display currently being shown at the EARP Distilling Co. in Carrington NSW (April 1st-May 31st, 2026).

I decided to paint a range of unusual birds, including the common loon, magnificent frigate bird, blue-footed booby, Atlantic puffin, shoebill and secretary bird, because illustrating bizarre species is both my passion and job!

I painted this artwork over numerous days, tallying up at least 20+ hours of work. During that time I had to remain hyper focused, as it is important to not make any mistakes when painting with watercolours (due to their unforgiving nature). I also had to remain hyper vigilant so that I didn’t accidentally drink my dirty paint water instead of my coffee…

To top it all off, the frame is from a local framer, Aaron Framed It, who is based in Georgetown. Making it entirely created within the “Newcastle” area.

Due to the large size of this artwork and it’s fragile nature, I will not be posting it after purchase.
A pick up/drop up time within the Newcastle region (and outskirts) will be arranged once the art display has ended (after May 31st).
